The Auriel Eurythmy modular part-time training is made up of 20 Modules over 5 years. In each of the 5 years there are 4 courses per year. Two are 14 days in length and two are 7 days. Successful completion of the training requires many hours of independent study, practice, written assignments and practicums. From the third year onwards the training modules are supplemented with 3 - 4 days of instruction per week, making it a full-time training.
The Auriel Eurythmy modular part-time training offers the possibility of completing a eurythmy training whilst continuing with existing commitments and schedules.
All courses take place in Mexico City. Course dates are announced on our website under Where andWhen with as much notice as is possible.
We are also considering offering a first year option over one year. This option would follow the same model as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the training. Modules would be attended as usual, but in addition to the module there would also be 12 hours per week of ongoing classes. This option would enable you to complete the eurythmy training in the 4 years of a traditional training. Please follow this link to a survey if you are interested in the shorter training option.
Seasonal Courses follow the first year eurythmy curriculum of other full time training institutes. The theme for the year are the gestures for the Zodiac and Planets. . Steiner's indications for the gestures for Planets and the Zodiac constellations are at the heart of eurythmy. The spiritual substance of these gestures nourishes the eurythmist and brings substance and form to movements. Other subject include Apollonian forms and principles, supervised practicum, Art, Study, Music, Astronomy, Poetry, Improvisation, and Speech Formation.

The theme of Elements Courses are the gestures and choreography for the elements and for elemental beings. The movement for the elements can give the aspiring eurythmist the feeling for entering into the being of a movement, to become truly one with gesture and form. Other subjects that are explored during this year include movements for cultural epochs and for the colours. Also covered are Art, Study, Science, Poetics, Geometry. In this year our students also continue their teaching practices at local Waldorf schools.
Performing Courses are Auriel Eurythmy's 4th year or graduation year. They are made up of 4 modules of two weeks and one week in length, as well as continued ongoing instruction for 4 days per week. We prepare a one to two week tour of a children’s program and then work on the graduation program for the remainder of the year.
Students prepare solo forms by Rudolf Steiner and group pieces from a variety of periods. It is our goal to present this graduation program at the Goetheanum in Switzerland. Supplementary classes for this year include stage arts, such as mask making, lighting, make-up and mime. Intensive independent supervised study, 4 days per week of instruction, daily practice, as well as written assignments make up the rest of the course work.
On completion of all 5 years of training our students will receive a Goetheanum recognised eurythmy diploma, based on individual merit. Everyone will receive an Auriel Eurythmy certificate of completion.
